Geothermal
BACON MANITO I & II GEOTHERMAL STEAMFIELDS PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:
The project includes two (2) power plants (Bacman I & II) with a total installed capacity of 150 MW utilizing geothermal sources from Palayan, Cawayan and Botong sectors in the Greater Bacman Area of Albay and Sorsogon provinces.
The power plant components were built, owned and operated by the National Power Corporation (NPC).
Electricity generated from these power plants was being supplied to the Luzon grid via high-voltage overhead transmission lines.
