On March 27, 2025, the PNOC GFPS-TWG & Secretariat successfully hosted an online health talk titled “All About Her: How Thyroid Disease, Hypertension & Diabetes Affect Women” for all the employees. Facilitated by Dr. Joey Tabula, MD, the session addressed critical yet often overlooked health concerns specific to women:

• Thyroid disorders, which are frequently misdiagnosed due to symptoms that overlap with stress, menopause, and pregnancy.
• Diabetes, which affects men and women differently, particularly in how hormonal changes impact blood sugar levels.
• Hypertension, breaking the misconception that it rarely affects women, despite nearly half of all adults with high blood pressure being female.
