On March 18, 2025, the PNOC GFPS-TWG & Secretariat organized an online in-house talk on women’s rights, facilitated by Atty. Erose Marlo C. Laeno from the Office of the General Counsel. The session provided an insightful overview of the development of human rights, emphasizing that women’s rights are human rights. Atty. Laeno discussed key provisions of Republic Act 9710, or the Magna Carta of Women, empowering female employees with knowledge of their rights and equipping male employees to support and inform the women and girls in their lives. The session also featured a breakout discussion on selected scenes from the film Hidden Figures, allowing participants to share their insights on gender equality and its relevance in today’s workplace.
