PNOC

LIMAY, Bataan—With a continued push for energy awareness at the community level, PNOC held an information drive and officially turned over classroom materials to two public schools in Brgy. Lamao on November 28, 2025, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility commitment.

The company donated 20 whiteboards and school supplies to Lamao Elementary School and Lamao National High School to support the schools’ instructional capacities and address the needs of teachers handling large student populations—2,166 learners at the elementary level and more than 2,400 students at the high school.

At Lamao Elementary School, staff welcomed the PNOC delegation and expressed appreciation for the company’s consistent involvement in school initiatives.

“Ang mga whiteboard na ito ay malaking tulong upang mas mapabuti at maging mas progresibo ang estilo ng pagtuturo sa Paaralang Elementarya ng Lamao. Napakahalaga nito para sa amin, lalo na’t napakarami ng programang inilulunsad ng Department of Education para sa mga mag-aaral,” [These whiteboards are a huge help in making teaching at Lamao Elementary School more effective and engaging. They come at the perfect time, especially with all the programs the Department of Education is rolling out for our students,] school representatives said. They added that PNOC has long been an active stakeholder, particularly during Brigada Eskwela and other school-led activities.

Lamao National High School likewise thanked PNOC and shared that, for them, PNOC stands for “Providing New Opportunities for Classroom Learning,” reflecting the relevance and immediate usability of the donated materials. The high school leadership also underscored that improving education outcomes requires the joint effort of schools and community partners like PNOC.

The turnover was complemented by an information drive for around 200 Grade 6 and Grade 10 students from Lamao Elementary School and Lamao National High School, respectively. The session also introduced practical energy-saving practices and emerging renewable energy systems, which encouraged students and parents to take part in responsible energy use.

PNOC also provided updates on activities within the PNOC Industrial Park to help the community better understand how national energy initiatives connect to local development.

Strategy Management Office Manager Alma B. Taganas, who led the PNOC delegation, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to responsible community engagement and proactive energy education.

“Ang turnover na ito ay tanda ng mas matibay na collaboration na nais buuin ng PNOC kasama ang inyong paaralan at komunidad, para sa mga initiatives na may tunay at pangmatagalang impact sa edukasyon ng mga kabataan, at para sa layunin ng kumpanya sa pagpapaunlad ng energy sector sa Pilipinas,” [This turnover signifies a stronger collaboration that PNOC aims to build with your school and community towards initiatives that create a lasting impact on youth education, and towards the company’s goal of advancing the country’s energy sector,] she noted.
