PNOC

TAGUIG CITY, Philippines — Recognizing that mental well-being and a healthy environment are essential to enabling employees to perform at their best, the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) integrated a mental wellness program into its Second Quarter Town Hall held on June 25, 2026.

Anchored on the theme, “Healthy Minds, Strong Teams: Practical Guidance for Managing Stress, Workplace Relationships, and Leadership Dynamics,” the de-stress session was facilitated by Ms. Dorothy Inah A. Julianda, RPm, a registered psychometrician and Clinic Manager at Ospital ng Makati.

The session provided participants with practical insights into recognizing and managing stress, helping prevent its negative impact on individuals and teams. Ms. Julianda also emphasized the importance of employee recognition in fostering a positive workplace culture, highlighting that acknowledging employees’ efforts enhances motivation, engagement, and overall well-being.

Organized by the Strategy Management Office, the mental wellness program received positive feedback from employees. Participants shared that the initiative made them feel seen and valued, while reinforcing that mental health awareness is not only about understanding stress but also about knowing how to support colleagues who may be experiencing it.

Prior to the de-stress program, President and CEO Franz Josef George E. Alvarez led the recognition and awarding of exemplary individuals and teams for their outstanding accomplishments, honoring their significant contributions to PNOC’s organizational goals as the Corporation concluded the first half of 2026.

Moreover, the Second Quarter Town Hall highlighted PNOC’s proactive initiatives in supporting the Department of Energy’s contingency measures during the energy emergency arising from the conflict in the Middle East. Among these initiatives was the successful procurement of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to establish a buffer stock for the local market, reinforcing the country’s energy security and ensuring a stable supply during periods of potential disruption.

In her closing remarks, Senior Vice President for Energy Business Ms. Ma. Rowena C. Raymundo encouraged employees to continue prioritizing their mental health, emphasizing that a healthy mind empowers individuals to perform at their best. She also encouraged everyone to sustain the momentum of their hard work as PNOC embarks on the second half of the year with positivity, resilience, and compassion, working together to achieve the Corporation’s goals and fulfill its mandate of serving the Filipino people.
