Electricity Supplier
As part of our efforts to lower generation costs through demand aggregation, PNOC plays a pivotal role in the full implementation of Retail Competition and Open Access. We encourage government agencies to exercise their eligibility as part of the contestable market, empowering them to actively choose their electricity sources. This approach ensures more competitive pricing and greater control over energy procurement, benefiting government operations and the broader public sector.
Enhancing Government Resiliency During Disasters
PNOC is dedicated to increasing the government’s resiliency during both man-made and natural disasters. We introduce mobile energy systems that operate independently of fossil fuels, providing reliable power in critical times. Additionally, our solar-powered Bangka projects enhance energy availability in remote and disaster-prone areas, ensuring continuous power supply and improving disaster response capabilities.
Accelerating EV Adoption in the Philippines
To promote the growth of the electric vehicle (EV) industry in the Philippines, PNOC is taking the first mover role by installing fast charging stations in strategic government locations. These include Tourist Rest Areas (TRAs) of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA). Our initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of EVs, reducing the nation’s carbon footprint and supporting a cleaner, more sustainable transportation infrastructure.
