PNOC

Culminating its 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC), the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) hosted a series of film showings and a Gender and Development (GAD) Talk for its host communities in Batangas and Bataan on March 28 and 29, 2025, respectively.

In Batangas, film screenings were held in Barangay San Francisco and Barangay Mainaga, gathering a total of 104 residents. In Bataan, the activities took place in Barangay Lamao and Barangay Batangas Dos, drawing 133 participants.

The events served as important platforms to raise awareness of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act. Discussions focused on equipping participants with essential knowledge about women’s rights, available legal protections, and remedies against abuse.

By engaging its host communities through educational and culturally relevant activities, PNOC emphasized the importance of promoting gender equality, preventing discrimination and violence, and fostering socioeconomic development by empowering women to take an active role in community and nation-building.

This initiative reflects PNOC’s steadfast commitment to support the government’s GAD advocacy, ensuring that awareness of women’s rights extends beyond the workplace and into the communities it serves.
