MARIVELES, Bataan—Aiming to help strengthen school facilities and support local learning environments, PNOC turned over construction materials to Mariveles National High School-Alion Extension and Lucanin Integrated School in Bataan on August 7, 2025. The initiative is part of the company’s continuing efforts to contribute to the welfare of its host communities through its Corporate Social Responsibility program.
Representing PNOC during the turnover was Ms. Renee Rose A. Costrua, Administrative Officer IV of its Park Management Department, who facilitated the distribution of the donations to both schools. The donated materials are intended to support classroom refurbishments, repainting, and facility improvements that will help create safer and functional spaces for teaching and learning.
This effort also formed part of the company’s participation in the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela, an annual nationwide campaign that mobilizes various stakeholders to help prepare public schools for the opening of classes. Known as the National Schools Maintenance Week, Brigada Eskwela engages partners from both the public and private sectors in resource-sharing and volunteer initiatives to improve school facilities and promote community involvement in education.
On June 13, 2025, PNOC also took part in the Brigada Eskwela of its host community in Mabini, Batangas, at Talaga Elementary School and Mainaga-San Francisco Integrated School, to assist in the ongoing maintenance and classroom readiness activities.
By taking part in the campaign, PNOC further demonstrates its commitment not only to community development but also to building stronger partnerships with institutions and local stakeholders.
