The Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) successfully conducted a comprehensive Gender and Development (GAD) survey, in response to one of the Commission on Audit’s (COA) FY 2022 recommendations for PNOC to establish sex-disaggregated data and address gender-related issues among employees.

Using both online (Google Form) and paper-based methods, the survey engaged staff from various PNOC offices and facilities, including the Head Office in BGC, Taguig, the Park Management teams in Limay and Mariveles, Bataan, and the Energy Supply Base Department in Mabini, Batangas.

From June to September 2023, GFPS members worked on the discussion and processing of survey results, followed by the drafting, proofreading, and finalization of the comprehensive report. The data gathered will serve as a valuable reference in formulating targeted GAD programs and initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and addressing the unique needs of PNOC employees.

This effort underscores PNOC’s commitment to integrating GAD principles into its organizational framework, ensuring that policies and programs are informed by accurate, inclusive, and gender-responsive data.
