
BATAAN – The PNOC Industrial Park concluded its 2022 Parkwide Coastal Clean-up on March 25, 2022, at the PNOC Industrial Park Construction Jetty shorelines, from 6:00 am until 8:00 am. PNOC Industrial Park employees were joined by employees from Petron (Polypropylene Plant), NPC Alliance Corporation, TeaM Philippines Energy Corporation, Orica Philippines Incorporated, Philippine Resins Industries Inc., Eliteblue Security Specialist inc., and Servicio Filipino Inc. They were also joined by representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Natural Resources Development Corporation. A total of 86 volunteers participated in the cleanup activity. The garbage collected weighed 1,337.56kg (1.3 tons) and consisted of plastic (411.20kg), rubber (308.38kg), Styrofoam (186.28kg), glass bottle (34.50kg), and other residuals (397.20kg). This is an annual event aimed at keeping oceans debris-free and ultimately protecting marine wildlife and the ecosystem.
