Mariveles, Bataan – The PNOC Park Management Department once more conducted the 2023 Tree Planting Event, held on July 21, 2023, at the NGCP Site in Brgy. Alion, Mariveles, Bataan. This event, running from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., marks a significant step towards environmental sustainability and community involvement.

Preparations for the event began on July 15 and 16, 2023, with the careful preparation of the 2-hectare planting site. Tasks included cutting grass, digging holes, placing stakes, and installing signs to guide participants along the 2-kilometer path to the tree planting site on July 19, 2023. Transporting the saplings from DENR-CENRO, Bagac to the planting site was successfully accomplished on the same day, ensuring all logistical aspects were well-organized.

With an expected attendance of 150, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 140 individuals. A total of 500 cashew and 500 guyabano saplings were successfully planted, significantly contributing to reforestation efforts in the region.
