PNOC

TAGUIG CITY, Metro Manila—PNOC has strengthened its leadership with the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors (BOD), who bring extensive multisector expertise to guide the company’s energy development plans. The new directors took their oaths before Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon S. Garin from September to November 2025.

The expanded PNOC BOD is expected to support PNOC as the company pushes for De-Risk to Equity energy projects to attract private investment, as well as to redevelop the PNOC Industrial Park to boost national economic growth.

With a strong track record in business leadership and logistics, Director Patrick Leo T. Chua contributes private-sector insight essential to PNOC’s push to develop investment-ready energy projects. His experience in managing companies will strengthen PNOC’s capacity to structure projects that transform risk into equity opportunities, consequently encouraging broader investor participation in the energy sector.

Meanwhile, Atty. Gemiliano Abelardo L. Del Rosario brings valuable expertise in the fields of law, corporate governance, and real estate development. In line with the PNOC’s asset optimization agenda, Atty. Del Rosario will help ensure that projects are developed with sound legal foundations, strategic planning, and effective land use management.

From the construction and business community, Director Gonzalo O. Go Jr. adds financial insight and on-the-ground knowledge of industrial development. His experience in construction enterprises aligns with PNOC’s future infrastructure programs and its transition to a more active role as a catalyst in the energy value chain. His business network and market awareness will also strengthen PNOC’s efforts to engage the private sector.

Lastly, Retired Vice Admiral Robert N. Patrimonio brings decades of leadership in maritime safety, logistics, environmental management, and governance. His expertise is particularly relevant as PNOC rehabilitates facilities and enhances its industrial assets to meet global standards. In addition to his maritime background, he has relevant energy-related experience through training in marine environmental protection, renewable energy, and offshore wind, as well as participation in inter-agency monitoring for offshore oil and gas operations. His background in sustainability and international maritime affairs ensures that PNOC’s projects remain safe, environmentally compliant, and globally competitive.

Joining incumbent directors Atty. Maria Jasmine S. Oporto, Mr. Joel R. Caminade, and Mr. Victor Emmanuel S. Dato, this new roster forms a leadership body equipped to steer PNOC’s strategic initiatives.
