PNOC

BATANGAS, Philippines — The Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) participated in the Brigada Eskwela activities of three public schools in Mabini, Batangas on June 3, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to community development and youth empowerment through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

Led by Ms. Alma B. Taganas, Manager of the Strategy Management Office, and Mr. Florentino D. Magsino Jr., Officer-in-Charge of the Energy Supply Base (ESB), PNOC turned over paint and essential cleaning and painting materials to Mabini Central School, Mainaga-San Francisco Integrated School, and Talaga Elementary School in support of their school maintenance and improvement efforts.

To ensure that the donations addressed the schools’ priority requirements, PNOC coordinated directly with school administrators to identify their immediate repair and maintenance needs. The schools warmly welcomed the assistance and expressed their appreciation for PNOC’s longstanding partnership and support. School principals and representatives noted that the donations would greatly contribute to their Brigada Eskwela activities by helping maintain and improve school facilities, creating safer and more conducive learning environments for students.

“For years, PNOC, through the Energy Supply Base Department, has been privileged to work alongside the communities of Mabini, Batangas, fostering a shared commitment to education through programs that support local development, safety, and environmental stewardship. As we participate in this year’s Brigada Eskwela, we are deeply grateful for the trust these communities have extended to us. Through this contribution, we are proud to take part in this inspiring display of Bayanihan and help provide students with a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment as they begin another school year,” said Mr. Magsino, who also signed the Brigada Eskwela Pledge of Commitment.

Through this initiative, PNOC continues to support youth development, education, and meaningful community engagement. The activity aligns with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” which underscores the importance of collective action in creating learner-friendly school environments.

By supporting programs that strengthen education and community partnerships, PNOC remains committed to creating positive and lasting impacts in the communities it serves while helping empower the next generation of Filipinos.
