PNOC

TAGUIG CITY, Metro Manila–PNOC’s Quality Management System (QMS) Team focused on the company’s core business functions to verify alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Conducted from July 7 to 11, 2025, the Internal QMS Audit aimed to assess compliance with international quality standards and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the system.

The audit formed part of PNOC’s preparations for the third-party certification scheduled within the third quarter of 2025.

The series of activities focused on selected Quality Process Flows (QPFs), which serve as detailed, step-by-step guides for implementing procedures across departments. These flows are essential in maintaining consistency, accuracy, and accountability in the company’s operations.

The processes of each department and division supporting the scope of the Quality Management System (QMS) were carefully selected for the activity. These include the Personnel Services Division, Asset Management Department, Business Research and Development Department, Procurement and Property Management Divisions, as well as the Accounting and Treasury Departments.

To gather information, the audit team reviewed documents, conducted interviews with associates, observed work activities, and examined samples of completed tasks and reports. These methods helped the auditors gain a better understanding of how procedures are being followed and where improvements may be needed.

Findings were presented during a closing meeting held on July 18, 2025. During the meeting, the ISO auditors shared their observations and identified areas where PNOC is performing well, as well as areas with opportunities for improvement. These insights are important for helping the company enhance its processes, reduce errors, and improve customer satisfaction.

The internal audit activities were guided by the Quality Management Representative Atty. Arolf E. Suyom, and the ISO Lead Auditor, Jennifer R. Racho.

The internal review served not only as a check for compliance, but also as a strategic step to ensure that PNOC’s systems are ready to meet the requirements of being an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization that consistently delivers quality services, maintains effective internal controls, and commits to continual improvement.
