PNOC

TAGUIG CITY, Metro Manila – The PNOC was recognized by the National Security Council (NSC), receiving a significant honor at the National Security Summit 2025 held on December 12, 2025. The recognition was bestowed for PNOC’s invaluable contribution to the successful implementation of the National Security Policy (NSP) 2023–2028 and the National Security Strategy (NSS) 2024.

The summit, themed “Advancing Strategic Synergy to Achieve National Security,” served as a high-level forum, successfully convening heads and senior representatives from 97 national government agencies and key private-sector stakeholders.

In his welcome remarks, National Security Adviser Eduardo M. Año underscored the critical, shared contribution of all partners. He emphasized the broad, multi-dimensional nature of national security, noting that it “spans in all dimensions of life, from digital safety and economic stability to food, water, and energy systems.”

Adviser Año subsequently called for sustained coherence and unity toward 2026, stressing the foundational principle that the security of the nation “is a shared heritage and a shared responsibility.”

The award specifically highlights PNOC’s integral role and steadfast commitment to coherent, evidence-based, and future-oriented national security governance, with particular emphasis on securing and stabilizing the crucial energy sector.
