PNOC

TAGUIG CITY, Metro Manila – Following the endorsement of its Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda last year, PNOC marked another milestone with the unveiling of its official GAD logo during the culminating activity of the 2026 National Women’s Month celebration held on April 13, 2026.

The PNOC GAD logo is the outcome of a logo-making contest spearheaded by the PNOC Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) Technical Working Group. The initiative aimed to harness employees’ creativity while strengthening their commitment to advocacy for a more equal and inclusive society.

The activity also encouraged active employee participation, fostering a sense of ownership, accountability, and unity in advancing the company’s GAD initiatives and advocacies.

From a total of 16 logo entries, the winning design was selected through a blind judging conducted by members of the PNOC Executive Committee, including Senior Vice President for Energy Business Atty. Graciela M. Barleta, Senior Vice President for Finance & Administrative Services Atty. Josephine Cassandra J. Cui, Senior Vice President for Energy Investment Ma. Rowena C. Raymundo, and Project Management Department Manager Maria Belinda L. Cubelo.

The official PNOC GAD logo was created by Mr. Jaypee P. Canlas of the Property Management Division. He described his design as a representation of PNOC’s commitment to gender equality and inclusive development in the energy sector.

According to Mr. Canlas, the male and female symbols in the design reflect balance and equal value between genders, while their connection signifies cooperation and shared responsibility. At the center are three human figures reaching upward, symbolizing employees, partners, and communities. Their upward movement represents growth, participation, and empowerment, highlighting equal opportunities for all to contribute and succeed. The leaves and flowing shapes further symbolize energy, nature, and sustainability.

The winning logo was formally announced during PNOC’s Flag Ceremony by PNOC GFPS TWG Vice Chairperson Ms. Sharina Mariz L. Walde, who emphasized that the logo stands as “a symbol of the Company’s continuing commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and empowerment for all.”
