
TAGUIG CITY, Philippines — The Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 First Surveillance Audit conducted by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. on August 19, 2026.The day-long assessment covered PNOC’s certified scope for Revenue Generating Services, including its supporting processes, and evaluated the continued implementation of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
More than a periodic compliance exercise, the surveillance audit reinforces the importance of consistently implementing established processes, maintaining effective documentation, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. These practices help integrate quality management into PNOC’s day-to-day operations, and support the Company’s commitment to operational efficiency, accountability, and service excellence.
The successful outcome underscores the collective effort of PNOC personnel in sustaining its QMS. Quality Management Representative Alma B. Taganas highlighted the importance of this shared commitment, noting that “maintaining our ISO certification reflects the everyday dedication of our personnel across all departments. Quality governance is not merely an annual compliance milestone, but a continuous operational mindset maintained by a workforce committed to efficiency, transparency, and service excellence in every process.”
The audit was supported by PNOC’s QMS Core Team, QMS Internal Auditors, Document Controllers, Secretariat, and concerned management and personnel. Their active participation reflects the shared institutional responsibility for maintaining robust quality practices and ensuring the effective implementation of the QMS across the organization.
The successful completion of the First Surveillance Audit reinforces PNOC’s continuing efforts to sustain its Quality Management System, strengthen internal processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the Company’s strategic objectives.
