PNOC

Armily Culture

As PNOC prepares for 2025, President and CEO Oliver B. Butalid has set an optimistic tone through the “President’s Letter to All,” inspiring associates to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in the year ahead.

In his address, Butalid acknowledged the uncertainties that often accompany the start of a new year but emphasized the importance of optimism and preparedness. “From my point of view, I believe we have set the stage to expect a truly transformative year in 2025. We have fine-tuned our strategies, streamlined some of our business processes, and expanded our workforce,” he remarked.

Central to PNOC’s plans are initiatives aimed at strengthening the country’s energy sector and advancing renewable energy development. These include efforts to deliver cost-effective and reliable energy to underserved areas through the development of a Self-Generating Industrial Park (SGIP). The company is in discussions with Indonesia’s PT Pertamina Persero on potential liquefied natural gas (LNG) collaborations and has scheduled site visits to evaluate potential SGIP locations, beginning with Tawi-Tawi.

Additionally, PNOC is pursuing opportunities to obtain a Retail Electricity Supplier license, promote rooftop solar photovoltaic installations for government buildings, and explore innovative energy solutions for off-grid communities. The company is also initiating feasibility studies for the development of a new LNG receiving terminal, a project aimed at addressing the country’s energy demands and ensuring a more sustainable energy future.

Beyond infrastructure and technology, Butalid stressed the importance of a strong corporate culture, anchored on PNOC’s unique “Armily” culture. He highlighted recent initiatives that include promoting broader leadership opportunities and enhancing communication channels across the company.

“When we talk about our PNOC Corporate Culture we refer to the behavior, practices, and norms that shape the way we interact and work among our colleagues. These should be underpinned by our mission and shared values,” he stated.

With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, PNOC is prepared to shape 2025 into a landmark year in its mission to deliver reliable, affordable, and clean energy solutions to Filipinos while fostering organizational growth and resilience.
