On March 5, 2024, PNOC achieved a significant milestone with the launch of the Lean Culture Campaign by the Vision Aligned Circle (VAC). This initiative marks a transformative step towards excellence and efficiency within the organization, grounded in the principles of continuous improvement.

The Lean Culture Campaign embodies PNOC’s commitment to embracing change, eliminating waste, and fostering an environment where every team member plays a vital role in the success of the organization. Through various initiatives, PNOC seeks to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, sustainable growth, and innovation.

Aligned with the VAC Blue Theme, the Lean Culture initiative embodies the motto “Lean In, Waste Out”. This theme encompasses five key project initiatives focused on enhancing productivity and streamlining operations.

During the campaign launch, Mr. Vittorio Leif Santos from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program Management and Technology Promotion Division, under the Energy Utilization Management Bureau of the Department of Energy, provided an insightful overview of Republic Act No. 11285, also known as the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Act.

The EEC Act serves as a cornerstone for institutionalizing energy efficiency and conservation practices, promoting the efficient use of energy, and incentivizing energy efficiency and conservation projects. The guidelines outlined in the EEC Act align closely with the objectives of the VAC Blue Theme, particularly in the pursuit of reducing electricity consumption by 25%.

To achieve this objective, the Lean Culture initiative will implement energy-efficient smart devices throughout the PNOC building. By embracing energy efficiency and conservation principles, PNOC aims not only to optimize its operations but also to contribute to sustainable energy management. As PNOC embarks on this journey towards a leaner, more efficient future, the Lean Culture Campaign reflects our steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation.
