The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Batangas, in its regular session last October 11, 2021, approved Resolution No. 1077 expressing No Objection to PNOC’s Energy Supply Base Port Development Project, including the reclamation of a component area of 37,270 square meters along Batangas Bay. The Certificate of No Objection is a requirement of the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) for processing reclamation projects or reclamation components of development/infrastructure projects.

PNOC has programmed the development of the Batangas port to allow extension of the piers to reach the 12-15 meters depth of the Batangas Bay. The new pier will provide support and logistics facilities for PNOC-EC and other exploration service contract holders, as well as meet the growing demand for ports that can accommodate larger energy vessels with heavier cargoes.
